Jeff To Be Finalist Judge For Saints and Sinners 2019 “Short Fiction” Contest

Great News!  Jeff has been selected as the finalist judge for the 10th Annual Saints and Sinners Fiction Contest.  Saints and Sinners (SAS) says:  “We’re excited to announce our finalist judge will be the award-winning author Jeff Mann. Mr. Mann also has the distinction of attending every SAS Festival from the very beginning! ”

SAS is currently accepting submissions for the 10th annual Saints and Sinners Short Fiction Contest. The winner will be selected from this year’s submissions of original, unpublished short stories between 3,000 and 7,000 words with LGBT content on the broad theme of “Saints and Sinners.”

Winners will receive:

  • One grand prize of $500 and two second place prizes of $100 will be awarded.
  • In addition, the top stories will be published in an anthology from Bold Strokes Books.
  • There will also be a book release party and reading held during the 16th annual Saints and Sinners Literary Conference in New Orleans in March of 2019.
  • A list of the top ten finalists will be posted on the SAS website and in the SAS e-newsletter.

The Saints and Sinners Literary Festival was founded in 2003 as a new initiative designed as an innovative way to reach the community with information about HIV/AIDS, particularly disseminating prevention messages via the writers, thinkers and spokes-people of the LGBT community. It was also formed to bring the LGBT literary community together to celebrate the literary arts.

The Festival has grown into an internationally-recognized event that brings together a who’s who of LGBT publishers, writers and readers from throughout the United States and beyond. The Festival, held over 3 days each spring, features panel discussions and master classes around literary topics that provide a forum for authors, editors and publishers to talk about their work for the benefit of emerging writers and the enjoyment of fans of LGBT literature.
